Housing and Development Bank (an Egyptian joint stock company) was established in 1979 and is recognized as an exemplary model amongst leading banks in the housing and urban development field. The Bank has successfully changed its business model and transformed into a fully-fledged commercial bank, offering a wide breadth of banking services.

The key pillar that paved the way for the Bank’s successful transformation to a commercial bank more than 40 years ago was the confidence the Bank’s customers had in its well-established brand name. In recent years, the Bank has made major leaps in modernizing the banking services provided to individuals and companies alike, including the implementation of state-of-the-art financial technology as well as the significant geographical expansion of the Bank’s network, which now covers all governorates across Egypt. This saw the Bank grow its branch network to more than 100 branches and grow its ATM network to exceed the 400 mark.
